… returns - Added `prepareSearchIndex` function to pre-compute lowercase search strings. - Updated `loadPDFDatabase` to call `prepareSearchIndex` after data load. - Refactored `renderPDFs` to use the pre-computed index and short-circuit logic. - Ensured `_searchStr` is non-enumerable to avoid polluting localStorage cache.
