Open the download page

Download the latest release

Install Android SDK Platform Tools

Add ADB to your system PATH
This makes it easier to run commands.- Search Windows for “Environment Variables” and open it.
- In the System Variables section, find
Pathand click Edit. - Click New and enter the path to the Platform Tools folder you extracted.
- Click OK to save.

Connect your Android device
Use a USB cable to connect your phone or tablet.
On the device, enable Developer Options and USB Debugging:- Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap Build Number 7 times
- Go back to Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging
Now that TrashDroid is installed and set up, follow these steps to scan an app or device.

Launch TrashDroid
Open the app from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut. -
Choose your target
You can scan either:- An APK file on your computer
- A connected Android device

Select phases to run
TrashDroid runs a 9-phase test. These include:- App information gathering
- Static code analysis
- Runtime testing using ADB and Drozer
- Exploit attempts
- Reporting
The app may let you select which phases to run or run all by default.

Start the scan
Click the “Start Scan” button. The process can take some time depending on the app or device. -
View the results
After the scan finishes, TrashDroid generates a report. This report shows detected vulnerabilities or notes if no issues were found. Reports use plain language to help understand the results.
