Jellyfin Media Player crashing/causing graphics reset on Fedora KDE 43(6.18) #1116

Description

Describe the bug
When trying to use Jellyfin after updating to 6.18, the app will always prompt for the server IP/domain. While trying to play content, it will freeze for 10-15 seconds, and proceed to crash. It will sometimes result in a graphics driver reset, and possibly freezing the DE. When going back to 6.17, everything works normally.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Jellyfin Desktop application
  2. Click connect when prompted for IP/domain
  3. Select any content to watch
  4. Wait 10-15 seconds for application to crash or graphics driver to reset.

Expected behavior
User should not be prompted to connect to server every log-in and content should play as normal.

Desktop:

  • OS: Fedora KDE
  • Version 43(6.18)
  • Jellyfin Version 1.12.0
  • Installation Method: Flathub package

Additional context
It caused a bad enough driver crash that it did artifact one of my screens and froze the entire desktop to point I had to hard shut down a few times. When switching back to 6.17, everything works as expected, without issue.
