Description
Your use case
What would you like to do?
Something akin to Discord's own voice chat soundboard where users can use their own pre-defined sound effects in the voice chat. Not sure how feasible this is but it could be done similarly to stickers where each client has their own personal packs.
(not sure if it's already a feature. random screenshot from search as I've purged my Discord account)
Why would you like to do it?
I dunno, it adds for comedic timing in some situations and I've used it often to wake up my friend from his tiktok scrolling so he can actually play the game. (Pray for him, he's very addicted to his short content slop...)
How would you like to achieve it?
Being able to customize default pre-defined Element Call's sound effects to our own easily, maybe within the UI itself. It could pull such information from the client and be customizable from it, not sure how feasible that would be.
Currently, pressing number buttons (1-5 iirc) plays some pre-defined sound effect which caught me off-guard the first time I've tried it.
Have you considered any alternatives?
Using an external program to play these. It works but a native feature is always miles better, if it's feasible even.
Additional context
Discord's implementation supports setting custom emojis on reactions and has a separate volume slider for those sound effects on client side. Without any sort of volume control for SFX, any guy can just hop in a VC of his choice and nuke anyone's ear drums out.
Most of us probably had that one friend who thought deep fried and volume boosted audio is the pinnacle of comedy. Though that's only implying if sound effects are uploadable by user and not just instance owners.
